An eye examination tests your eye health and vision, which is extremely important as many eye conditions and diseases don’t show symptoms until irreversible damage has already been done.
Our state-of-the-art technology ensures we carry out thorough eye examinations tailored to your lifestyle and age. Our experienced optometrists will discuss and recommend the level of eye examination required for each individual
Our equipment includes an Optomap ultra-widefield retinal imager. This takes an image of the back of your eye, showing over 80% of your retina, compared to a standard camera, which captures only 15%
We also have a second advanced scan called an OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography). Like the Optomap, it’s non-invasive. It uses light waves to produce a 3D scan of your eye, enabling our optometrists to see the layers of your eyes in minute detail. This scan aids the early detection of conditions such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and diabetic retinopathy. Identifying these problems early gives a significantly increased chance of successful treatment.
Of course, we’ll test your vision and provide a prescription for glasses and/or contact lenses to correct it if required. Your vision changes with age, so regular checks are essential.
